Do you fancy a different sort of liveaboard trip to SCAPA - depart Sunday 4th June 2023

 

I have the opportunity to host a group aboard the MV Valhalla in early June 2023.

This trip will be different in that we will depart from Stromness leaving the Flow behind and head westward to dive along the West and North coasts of the Orkneys. The trip will end 6days later on arrival into Kirkwall.

Dives will be planned according to weather conditions, but primarily on Wrecks that are seldom dived and could include a couple of aircraft. Depths will be between 35mtrs - 45mtrs for the deeper vessels and 15mtrs – 25mtrs for the shallower sites. Some wrecks include - Loch Garry, Zarepha, Endeavor, Loch Maddy, Avenger Bomber, Tug Oceana, Cotavia.

However, it must be remembered that this kind of trip is VERY dependent on both the weather and wind direction.

Price will include shared bunk accommodation on board, air, weights and breakfast.

Not included will be Mixed gases - Meals -Travel, although the price will include transfers back to Stromness at the end of the trip to board the Ferry - A meal deal may be possible depending on requirements, e.g., Full lunch or light lunch, 2 or 3 course evening meal. All dietary requirements can be catered for.

I am asking for expressions of interest only at this stage – however interested parties can make a confirmed booking if they so wish

Once the trip is confirmed and places allocated, then the individual will be responsible for the full cost of the trip. In the unfortunate situation, someone had to cancel, then they would be responsible for the cost of trip and finding someone suitably qualified to take their place as a way of recouping their outlay. If we have too many subscribers then we would, of course, be able to offer the place to someone on the list.

Note: The skipper reserves the right to change the itinerary in relation to any adverse weather conditions. Such concerns being the case, we will revert to diving within the Flow.
