Cardiff Scuba -SCUBA REVIEW

Inactive Diver Refresher

 

This programme is offered to those who are already qualified divers but have not dived for any period of over 6months. Those who require the inclusion of 2 Open Water dives will incur additional costs.

The process for booking into this type of session is:

​

  • Make contact with Cardiff Scuba either by phone or by sending a message from the website. We will call you back to discuss the details of your dive experience.

  • We will need you to supply us with a  copy of:

    • Your last verified dive in your log book showing date, location, dive site, depth, buddies name – signature and Certification number.

    • The front and back of your highest certification card.

    • A passport type head and shoulders photo

  • When agreed, we will send you a text message with a link to our secure payment system – ‘Zettle’.

  • When the payment has been confirmed and your documents received, we will send you:

    •  a multi-choice Review question paper (it is NOT an exam),

    •  a Student Information form

    •  a Liability Release Declaration

    •  a Health Questionnaire – Note: Any ‘Yes’ response(s) will require a signed and stamped declaration from your GP. If in doubt – please speak to us first.

You can either, scan and return these documents ahead of the pool session to info@cardiffscuba.co.uk or you must bring these fully completed documents to the pool session – without them we cannot take you into the water.

  • Call us when you have completed the Review paper and we will set up a Zoom session with you to go through the Review questions.

  • Following this we will agree a pool session to undertake a review of skills.

  • It is essential that all of the documents listed above are handed-in at the pool session. Without them we will not be able to continue the pool session. You would then be liable for an additional payment of £45.00 as we would have to book another session and Instructor.

In summary - the programme consists of:

  • Submission of required documents prior to the pool session

  • Theory Review paper sent by email

  • Zoom session to review the theory

  • Pool session to review basic Scuba Skills

  • Entry of Review session in log book

​

Skills covered: Kit set-up; Buddy checks; Buoyancy skills; Mask skills; Out-of-Air skills.
